Artists Who Take Themselves Way Too Seriously

I don't mind artists who take a healthy amount of pride in their work... but getting their brushes bent out of shape because of a playful joke and getting blocked over it is a bit much... To get into a snit because of a slightly off-color joke about something which most prudes would call smutty pornographic art is lowering the bar to the lowest setting... In retrospect.. it's something I can laugh off because of the innocence of it all... on my side... for the "artist" in question it actually reveals something about the nature of "that artists" character and possible motives for art.... For myself I'm actually glad to be free of that particular mentality... that I won't be seeing (artists) art anymore.. no loss... there are plenty of great artists out there who actually have a grounded attitude towards their work not get into a hissy little snit for a passing comment that could have been handled in a more mature fashion if it was at all offensive.... heh... ah well...
